Shopping center as a tribute to a woman Juanita Tate
Shopping center is located in South Central Los Angeles, and its construction began in early 2013 - a year later was the gala opening. This shopping center should help expand businesses and create new ones, generate jobs, stabilize and expand the industrial area, repair and clean up public infrastructures and attract new consumer retail, shopping and entertainment outlets.
Why this shopping center bears the name Juanita Tate? It was in fact a woman who was community activist who advocated green space for the poor citizens of South Los Angeles. Thus locals remember her with love and are grateful to her, so it was decided that this shopping center will be named after her. It is interesting that on the day when this shopping center was opened, Juanita Tate had celebrated her birthday (April 14).
Besides stores inside the shopping center there could be also found lots of great restaurants and offices.
