Modern facilities and more stores and restaurants
Houston Galleria Center was opened in 1970 and its major renovation and expansion took place in 2006. Before the current reconstruction of this upscale shopping center, there were more than 350 different stores and services, which make it the eighth largest shopping center in the United States. In the store directory of this shopping centre are stores like Chanel, Aldo, Puma, Prada, Guess, Gucci or Louis Vuitton and many others.
Some parts of this renovation has already begun in recent days, the rest will get under way within the next weeks. One of the biggest news is the location of a flagship store for Saks Fifth Avenue, which will be spread over an area of 200 000 square feet.
Even more luxury stores
The main aim of this renovation is to create a new extension that should contain 35 new stores and restaurants. On the one side, there will be already mentioned Saks Fifth Avenue, on the second side will be located new Neiman Marcus. Among the new tenants will be for example Tourbillion, Rolex and Hublot. Some stores will also undergo a renovation, among them, for example, Versace, Bulgari, Tory Burch or Ralph Lauren.
Improvements will not only refer to the individual stores, but also to the overall image of shopping center. The innovation will be placing of the white marble floor with black accents of granite, new carpets and new seats. Also the food court will go through the modernization during which will get new tiles, furniture and lighting. And of course the new tenants too.
