The reconstruction could start in spring 2016
The accurate architectural drawings should be available during the following two months and they will show how Burlington Center Mall will look after the rebuilding. So far it is only known that the reconstruction should cost roughly $ 240 million, which definitely isn´t an insignificant amount. In Burlington Center Mall should be created a large green area with benches which should combine traditional shopping arcade along with the city center.
The negotiations about new tenants are currently running at full blast with potential 16 new tenants and seven restaurants to join the new mall. The intention of a complete reconstruction of Burlington Center Mall is to create a place which will become not only shopping mall where people can enjoy shopping. But it should be a place for meeting friends or for organizing a family dinner, too.
The rebuilding will take about three years
Now investors are assuming that the entire reconstruction will take roughly two or three years. Don´t worry, Burlington Center Mall wouldn´t be closed during this period – it should be in standard operation. This shopping mall has a great potential mainly because of its location, which offers good demographics and strong household income levels.
After the finishing of the reconstruction, the shopping mall will be situated on 1.2 million square feet.
